Youth Services
Illinois workNet Center and its partners are here to help you find the right direction to take. We offer the opportunity to help you graduate from high school or gain a GED. We assist you in finding a great job and learning the skills you need to keep it. We have resources that will help you explore careers first-hand; choose an exciting career and the money to assist in paying for it. These free services are for 16- 21 year olds who qualify and include:
- Assistance in obtaining a high school diploma or GED
- Money for GED/Bridge program
- Financial assistance for career programs after high school
- Employment related guidance and counseling
- Job readiness training
- Job placement assistance
- Supported employment
- Work experience (paid and unpaid)
- Job shadowing
- Internship opportunities
- Mentoring*
- Tutoring*
- Leadership development opportunities
- Career exploration
- Transportation assistance
- Assistance in securing childcare
- Computer classes**
- E-learning program
*Available for qualified 14-21 year olds
**There is a refundable deposit required for computer classes for those who qualify
